Week 4: A new spin on the framework

A new spin on the framework or better yet  said Flip Grid. I believe in a General Education school this concept is such an amazing idea. In fact I love it so much I am kind of jealous I did not have this growing up. It allows students to familiarize themselves with YouTube or other books basically anyway the can on a subject before it is ever taught to them. I think that's amazing because I remember if the first couple pages in a book didn’t captivate me I was done. This way you can find your own material that catches your attention and allows you to learn.  Allowing the teacher to see who is really understanding it and one’s who are not can allow the teacher to spend more direct time teaching those who don’t quite get it. The amazing part is that every subject would change, some students are more interested in one subject than the other. Therefore not every lesson would be spent helping the same child over and over. Week 4: Love to hear the Twitter go tweet-tweet-tweet

George Evans stated, “Every student can learn, just not on the same day, or the same way.” With saying this, at this point in my life I can honestly say without thinking twice Twitter is not for me. I am not bashing it or saying it’s not extremely helpful to millions of others but to me I find it an endless page of a headache. I have found a lot of helpful and useful information on Twitter but it is very busy and I just can’t deal with that. I also find that things I’ve liked most about Twitter I can find on PInterest, if I ever needed a quick idea. As class only says be on it for about five minutes a week that is five minutes I will never get back. My life is extremely filled in every aspect possible. I am okay with that because it means I am loved and I have family, friends, endless events, healthy kids that play sports, and the last thing I want to do is find five minutes to go surfing on Twitter. Week 3: The Tales of Storytelling

In 2019, an American mother and wife Dawn Casasanto, started out on a path to become a Special Education Teacher. With the support of friends and family Dawn finally picked a school and started out on her new adventure. At Trinity Christian College, Dawn was introduced to a group of amazing adults that would soon be her support system during this challenging process. As her second class approached and the relationships formed a new challenge would be put upon her. Dawn and her fellow classmates started a Technology class that would have heads spinning; especially Dawns. With a bit of social media, a mass of information, and the endless and free tools that their computers have to offer was introduced to them, minds were blown. Week 2: Assistive Technology

In this weeks readings I've learned so much about technological support tools. It's amazing how many resources are at the tips of our fingers for FREE! Translate to Google #EduGIF informed me of how I can, with some time and effort, put together a grid of important words to allow not only teacher to student but student to student communication. In the school I am currently in we do have have some, maybe not a ton, but we do have language barriers.  In some situations when parents are calling or coming into the school to get information we only have one maybe two people in the building to translate. Now in knowing Translate to Google I have shared with our secretary so she can start playing around with it and get to know the tool. So if  ever in absolute need us as a school would  know that we have a tool to back us up. In a diverse classroom what can be better than to end the hardship of language barriers. Finding Twitter

In the readings for this week I became familiar with a few new social media concepts and benefits that can help us as future educators. I became familiar with how twitter can keep us as teachers connected for many various reasons. I also learned new concepts of Powtoons to help with our teaching lessons and make it more creative and more exciting to learn.
